Autumn Term
Y2 have had a wonderful half-term. We've enjoyed making and tasting mini frittatas in Design & Technology and taking part in a Samba music workshop. We got to play different instruments to a Samba beat! We have loved our artwork this half-term. Please have a look at some of our lovely Kandinsky inspired paintings.
Autumn Term
Year 2 have got off to a fantastic start this term. In English we have been reading the story of ‘The Owl Who Was Afraid of the Dark’. We created our own camp fire experience and used our senses to describe the fun things we might do around a camp fire. We have been working hard in Maths, partitioning numbers and writing number words. In Science we have been exploring baby animals and how they grow into adults. In History we are learning about Guy Fawkes and his plot to use gunpowder to burn down the Houses of Parliament. We have also been practising our throwing, catching and gymnastic skills in P.E. and learning about the work of Wassily Kandinsky in Art. Well done Year 2!
