Thornton Primary School Music Curriculum Document

Autumn 2022

 

Thornton have been learning all about ‘Pulse’ in Music this half term. From body percussion to Xylophones and recorders, we have been learning how to keep to a beat and play a rhythm. The whole school even had a Samba Blast workshop where we got to play different instruments to a cool Samba beat! Here are some photos from our Music lessons.

We've really enjoyed our music work across the school this term. Year 2 have had so much fun exploring the website ‘Incredibox’ to create their own music. The children loved it, and it's clear that we have some budding DJs amongst us. Some children have also been exploring modern

Bhangra music this term, using a range of instruments to recreate the beat.
