Autumn Term
We have had a wonderful half-term in Y1. In Art, we have explored patterns in our environment and in DT we have explored moving pictures, including using sliders. In English we have spent time writing letters and postcards, as well as a set of instructions. We're already looking forward to next half-term!
Autumn Term
We have had such a busy start to the year in Year One. On Tuesday, we were introduced to our first 'Write Stuff' unit using the book Lost and Found by Oliver Jeffers, met our new class penguin (Pebble) and Grandma Fantastic who helps us think of lots of wonderful vocabulary. So far we have been exploring onomatopoeias by making lots of noise with different instruments, written similes about the waves after building our own boats out of construction materials and explored different emotions for the penguin in the story.
