Spring Sport
Our Year 3 and 4 girls enjoyed a football festival at Stafford Leys in March. We had a great time and scored lots of goals. Some of our girls have now joined a local football team since the festival too! Year Two enjoyed playing Victorian games in a PE and history lesson this term and Year 6 have been improving tennis strokes this term. Next stop Wimbledon!
Summer Term Sport
At Thornton, we love taking part in P.E and sports activities. This term we have spent some extra time taking part in physical activities each week. We have really enjoyed our extra skipping challenges and have all learnt some amazing new skipping skills.
We also wanted to celebrate Leicester's amazing FA Cup win. We came to school wearing blue to celebrate. Well done Leicester!
Recent Events
We've taken part in lots of different sporting activities this term. The Y6 children took part in a fantastic basketball event and the Y3 children have been involved in a skipping competition where they got to learn lots of new skills.
