This controlled experiment has allowed us to take part in real science that will have an impact on our future. We have developed Maths skills such as finding percentages, drawing charts and tables and finding the average as well as Working Scientifically skills such as how to control the variables to make our test as controlled and reliable as possible. We look forward to find out out the results, which seeds have been into space, the red or the blue?

World Book Day 2016 - well done to everyone who dressed up as part of World Book day, every one that took part had made such a wonderful effort with their outfits and everyone looked amazing! Well done to our book token winners for your excellent outfits. As part of the day we made books, dropped everything to read and even read in our four teams; pandas, rhinos, gorillas and tigers. Well done to everyone who took part and made today a memorable one!

Microscope science club - today we looked at dissolving and reforming crystals. We looked at grains of coffee, salt, sugar and bicarbonate of soda under the microscope then we added warm water and watched as the crystals change. We observed how they changed size and shape. We then left our solutions and will look at them again next week to see if the crystals are the same after the water has evaporated.

Microscope Science Club - we collected our own specimens this week to analyse under the microscope, it was amazing to see how things look up close. We have been learning about the 'field of view', the amount of the specimen that we see through the microscope and we also made our own magnifier using a droplet of water.
